Guide to Busan: Seomyeon Shopping and Food Street

By 11:17 PM
Hi dearies! I'm back with another post in my Guide to Busan series ^^ Up in this post, I will show you the things to eat & where to shop in Busan!
If you have not been to Busan, I would highly recommend booking your accommodation in Seomyeon area! Why? That's because of all the food streets and shopping all around! There's so much activity going on from day to night, it's simply the "Hongdae" in Busan! :D

Cafes in Seoul Part 2: Cafe Noriter Seoul

By 6:56 PM
Hi dearies! I hope your week has been doing well!^^
Here's a part of my Cafes in Seoul guide: Cafe Noriter Seoul!
This is one of the cafes with the most elaborately decorated pretty cafe interior that I love so much!
I am so excited for my upcoming trip back to Korea with B hehe.. And so, do pardon me for spamming my blog with the 2014 Korea trip's memories :p
There's an adventure at every corner, as well as instagram & Pinterest opportunity ^^
This unique and cute café is tucked in one of the quieter streets in Edae (Ewha Women's University). This Cafe Noriter outlet is situated above a retail store just opposite the Yes APM mall.
It was just the perfect place to chill out after our hair cut/ hair perm session before we conquer the streets of Edae for more shopping! Whee~!

Guide to Busan: Lotte Department Store Sky Garden

By 2:29 PM
Hi dears! ^^  Today I would like to introduce to you one of my favourite places in Busan that I would highly recommend for you to add into your Korea Itinerary.
This place is where I've viewed this magnificent sunset~ That's Busan tower over there! :D So, where is this pretty place? It's none other than the Lotte Department Store Sky Garden!

The Gwangbok branch of Lotte Department Store is located at Nampodong Station. It is combined with two buildings, Main Store and Aqua Mall. In the Main Store there is a wide range of selection like the Busan main branch, and the Aqua Mall also has many shops and restaurants. Especially in the Aqua Mall, the world’s largest indoor musical water fountain which was registered in the Guiness World Book of Records is operated every hour for 10 minutes. Additionally, the rooftop park, which is the largest in Korea, offers a great view of the entire city of Busan.

PS: No entrance fees required!;)

Shinsegae Spa Land

By 12:50 AM
Woohoo! I'm back with a new blogpost! Let me show you more on the nicest Korea Jimjilbang i've been to! It's the Shinsegae Spa Land at Busan. :D

Sorry for the delay in updates! I have been caught up with the CNY festivities and activities as well as work :( Anyway, let's move on to the happy things! Here's another episode from our Korea adventures!^^
It's conveniently located at Centum City subway stop ^^

Gwangjang Market 광장시장

By 8:44 PM
Have you heard of Gwangjang Market? Here's some food recommendations you should try and add this into your Seoul itinerary! ^^

PS: Running man fans, this was one of the traditional food market places featured in Episode 186:
http://www.dramabeans.com/2014/02/running-man-episode-186/

Gwangjang Market is one of Korea’s oldest traditional markets with over 100 years of history. Locals come here for quality silk goods, bedding, fabric, hanbok and clothing shopping. From 6pm onwards, the shops close but the food market starts to become lively.

Guide to Nami Island (남이섬), Petite France (쁘띠프랑스) & Garden of Morning Calm (아침고요수목원)

By 6:45 PM
Hi dears! I'm back again! ^_^
In this post, I will be providing you with details on how to get to Nami Island (남이섬), Garden of Morning Calm (아침고요수목원) & Petite France (쁘띠프랑스) . It is all linked via the shuttle bus in Gapyeong. Very convenient and you can cover at least 2 of these 3 locations within a day. You will be able to cover all 3 if you plan your timing strategically based on the shuttle bus timings ;)

Here's the map of Gapyeong and the yellow arrows are pointing to the 3 places of interests which we are going to cover in this guide:

The Garden of Morning Calm (아침고요수목원) in Spring 2014 ^_^

By 3:00 PM
My other favourite attraction in Gapyeong has got to be The Garden of Morning Calm (아침고요수목원) ^_^ It's a must visit place during your Korea trip especially if you love flowers and nature! It's simply a pleasant surprise when we reached there with absolutely no expectations at all as we did not do much research on this attraction :p

Spring in Nami Island (남이섬) 2014

By 10:07 PM
Hi dears! I'm back again!
In this post, I will be showing you what we did at Nami Island! :D It's my second visit back to Nami Island and this time it's during Spring (April- May 2014)! Love it! Will definitely visit Nami Island again during Winter & Autumn to complete the list haha!

As per my previous visit to Nami Island, this round I also choose to Zip-wire to Nami Island! Wheee!!! Way faster & more thrilling!

Haircut & Hair Perm in Seoul

By 1:21 PM
Our very first overseas haircut & hair perm experience in Seoul! :D

This was one of our to-do items in Korea! So happy to have ticked it off my bucket list during my trip to Seoul/ Busan with B early this year :) I was googling on where to go for haircut & hair perm in Seoul. And...the major issue we have is the language barrier haha.. The hairstylists at Juno Hair Salon speaks pretty decent English to understand your hair needs based on my research, so we went there! :D

Cafes in Seoul Part 1: Cafe Mamas

By 8:08 PM
Hi dears! It's a new week again! Let's fly to Korea for some cafe hopping! ^_^

In the next few weeks to come, I hope to be able to finish blogging about the interesting cafes that B & I checked out during our recent trip to Seoul in May 14. Will be doing up a list of cafes in Seoul you must visit! Exciting? hehe! I miss Seoul & Busan sooo much while I was blogging about this!

So this week's first cafe would be.... Cafe Mamas!
It's a cafe chain which has numerous outlets all over Seoul, we went to the outlet at Gangnam station to meet dearest Jessica! :D *miss u dear!*

It was drizzling when we were walking there and thanks to Jessica, we managed to get seats pretty quickly (around 15mins or so) :) Yay! You have to write your name in the reservation book near the entrance and they will call you when your seats are ready. Thank goodness, it was not overly crowded and we did not need to queue in the rain haha..

Here's Part 1 of our photos from our photo shoot in Korea! Have been dreaming of having a photo shoot with B overseas and my dream came true! We approached Mr Kim from Amonela with dearest Jessica's help. I am so happy with the photos as well as feeling so blessed to meet the two enthusiastic & nice oppas for our photo shoot! They are one of the best photographers whom I've met where they went out of the way to snap the photos for us. :D They were like Ninjas! Definitely salute their professionalism! If you are thinking of having a photo shoot in Korea, I will highly recommend Amonela! (PS: this is not an advertorial :) just a review from a highly satisfied customer)

*so thankful*
It's like a dream come true! I can't believe it! Hahha.. okok enough of excitement. Please pardon me for being so 'sua gu'! I'm still in the midst of preparing my blogpost so do wait for details on the dream laneige makeover event that I've attended! The girls i met there are all sooo pretty with really good complexion! And the staff were v friendly and helpful too! :D Thank you so much for all the help during the workshop! And not forgetting my starstruck experience meeting two of my favourite bloggers: Qiuqiu and Velda!
*fangirl alert! I took pics with them! Hehhee.. First up close experience with my favourite bloggers! Never had such a chance before!*
*Sneak peek of the upcoming post at the end of this post*
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back to the main topic for today! I'm going to show you what are the top 3 cheap thrills to try out in Seoul! :D

Number 1
TAKE NEOPRINTS
You may think that neoprints are very old school since everyone uses their handphones and the neoprint apps to add the cutesy fonts etc etc, but think again!!!

Check this out!! There are hanboks and cute accessories to wear for free to take your neoprints with! <3 <3 <3

Awesome right?? And at no extra charges!!! It's only 7000won (less than S$10 *divide it between 4 ppl, it's less than $2.50 each!* Value for money!) for a neoprint shot and you get to wear the costume and accessories for free! It's a must go/must try when you are in Seoul! This neoprint machine store is located in Insadong 인사동 on the second level near the cheerful Ssamzie-gil complex (쌈지길).

So glad we managed to stumble upon this cheap thrill when we wandered around the area!
