Tsubaki Hair Oil [Review]
Hi dears! :) How was your week so far? Hope it has been great! I have been really really busy :( but oh well, anyway I will be flying off for my much awaited holiday soon! Hehe! Working hard before enjoying my holiday! :D
Anyway, I'm so happy to share with you this new hair product that I have used daily for a week now! ^_^
Presenting to you.. the Tsubaki Camellia Hair Oil!
Thank you Shiseido!! Yay to new haircare product to add to my haircare series! Much much needed! I use tons of hair oil everyday because of my damaged hair (from using the hair dryer daily, hair dye & hair perm) :(
This hair oil is formulated with specially selected camellia oil produced in the Goto Islands in Nagasaki. Only fully ripe fruits are carefully handpicked and extracted with a traditional oil pressing method. Tsubaki uses only pure camellia oil obtained from the first pressing of camellia seeds harvested in the current season.
- Instantly penetrates hair upon application without feeling greasy or sticky and gives a silky smooth finish.
- Protects your hair from damage by UV rays and heat from hair dryers (or other styling equipment), while preventing split ends and hair breakage.
The woes of having long hair.. :( say hello to easily dried ends, split ends, tangles and unruly hair!
How to apply?
Pour a 20 cents coin amount of the hair oil onto your palms and then apply it section by section onto your hair ends. For me, I just apply it on liberally, as much as i want until my hair ends no longer look/feel frizzy :p (Probably $1 coin amount is more apt for me hehe!)
How to prevent flat hair using this hair oil? (that's me ^-^!!)
(Particularly recommended to those who have soft and fine hair)
Refrain from applying large amount inappropriately and unevenly. Start application from the damaged tips and gradually work upwards to the roots to avoid flat hair.
How to reduce volume or prevent dry hair using this hair oil?
(Particularly recommended to those who have thick and voluminous hair)
Apply an appropriate amount to wet hair and dry it with a hair dryer. Then, spread a small amount onto the palms and apply on bottom half of the hair to reduce the volume.
Is this hair oil greasy?
Not greasy at all!
This is definitely the star point of this product! It's the least greasy hair oil that I've used thus far! :D *thumbs up* It just shows how the product is easily absorbed into your dried hair ends. It's really lightweight! Love it!
How about the scent?
Are you guilty of sniffing your hair every now & then when it smells especially good? ^_^ Hope i'm not the only weird one :p I love the scent of the Camellia Oil!! :D It just stays on my hair the whole day! Not too overwhelming but you get whiffs of the flowery scent the whole day~ Lalala~!
Value for money?
At $26.90 for a pretty bottle of 60ml hair oil, i think it's pretty worthwhile. It might be slightly more expensive than some other hair oil but I guarantee you that it can last quite abit! Have been using mine twice a day (once in the morning, once at night) but the level of the hair oil left is still alot! not lying! Trust me #auntiechloesays ;)
Anything bad about this?
Probably not as portable and easily to bring around due to the bottle used. Hopefully they can come out with a mini travel sized bottle soon? :) That would be really cute :p
Where to buy?
Available at any Watsons store now, go grab it! ;)
Here's how my hair looks after applying the hair oil! Less unruly and less frizzy right? ;)
