Horlicks Doggies Cookies

By 9:00 AM

Hello everyone!! :D This is my first attempt at a baking post! Had a date with B by baking Horlicks Doggies Cookies at his house one day :) Hope this gives boyfriends and girlfriends out there some ideas on what to do for the weekends! Cheap and fun! But, slightly time consuming haha..  :) Without further ado, here's the recipe!
So what are the ingredients needed? :)

180g butter, soften at room temperature
80g Horlicks (original flavour)
200g top flour or cake flour
25g corn flour
25g milk powder
100g chocolate chips
some chocolate rice
some Koko Crunch
some heart shaped icing (for decor, optional)

*All ingredients are easily found at NTUC & Phoon Huat :)*
Here's a sneak peak at the cookies before they head into the oven hehe.. Are you excited to make cute cookies like these? :p

Read on for the recipe!!! :D

Method:
1. Pre-heat oven to 140 deg C. Line baking tray with baking paper and set aside.

2. Sieve top flour, corn flour and milk powder.

3. Cream butter and Horlicks for about three minutes at low speed. Do not overbeat.

4. Put in top flour, cornflour and milk powder and beat for about one minute to form dough.

5. Divide dough into 10g each. Put three chocolate chips into each piece of dough and roll into balls.

6. Insert two pieces of Koko Crunch to form the 'ears', chocolate rice for the 'eyes', and a chocolate chip in the centre for the 'nose'.

You can unleash your creativity and make all kinds of doggie biscuits! :D Check out the onigiri horlicks cookies, zombie cookies, and some weird weird looking ones hahaha.. Those weird looking ones are made by none other than Baker B lol! Not me! :p

7. Bake at 140 deg C for about 25mins. Depending on your oven, it may take another 5-10mins more for the cookies to be ready.

While waiting for your cookies, you can watch a movie! :D For us, we watched running man, our all time favourite variety show!
8. Leave to cool on wire rack before storing in an airtight container.
Tadaaa!! And they are ready to be eaten up! hehe~!
Phototaking session first!! :D
